RMV says car inspections to resume on Wednesday - with an extra grace period for some people whose cars had earlier failed inspections

The Registry of Motor Vehicles says car inspections should resume tomorrow, for the first time since they were knocked out by a vendor's poor excuse of a global Windows software update.

The RMV adds:

The Registry is granting additional time to get retests for vehicle owners with failed motor vehicle inspections prior to July 19. The Registry will extend anyone whose reinspection date expired between 7/19/2024 through 7/31/2024 until 8/10/2024 for their free re-inspection.
