Lawyers for Civil Rights today launched its Immigrant Defense Hotline at 617-988-0606 to help people "facing imminent threats related to immigration enforcement, such as immigration raids or mass deportations."
Our hotline will be staffed with attorneys from LCR's staff and pro bono network. Callers who leave a message will receive a same-day response to questions about immigration enforcement and reports of immigration raids. We will track activity closely with community partners and mobilize legal and policy advocacy to protect immigrant families.

When the president can change the constitution, the rule of law means little. It doesn't matter if a skilled lawyer gets an injunction. It will be disregarded by federal authorities.
This too will pass, etc. But it's hard to see how America returns to the same level of freedom and liberty (however little that was) in our lifetimes.
But maybe I shouldn't complain. Lifetimes will be shorter now that environmental and health regulations are all but gone.
Ditto!

To both of you. We'll have "Stargate" instead of Civil Rights and Health Care. I'm making a long term bet that A.I. will have more freedom and care than us meatpuppets under the next Republican President.
