If how much you spend, or buying what the persons “wants” determines your Merry Christmas....... stop, think about this; Materialism has bankrupted some people,
Some are on the way there, and some are recovering from it.

If anyone is not pleased with you changing your gift giving habits….. It’s on them.

My family still will mourn, grieve, and cry

Innocent victims in harms way

Police running to save a life
Soldiers facing war and strife

SWAT in the midst of a hostage crisis
CIA, FBI chasing ISIS

First responders on the scene
Firefighters in the heat and flame

Someone died, now who to blame

God Sees Red

Look at my people, my created
Killing, angry, murder at the drop of a pin

Some don't realize the trouble they're in

Jealousy, revenge, hate

Using guns
Hastening the death rate

I look at my children
I see red

Their blood - red
My anger - red

My Son's Blood - red
Shed for their sins

My tears I shed
When I can't welcome them in

If my people who are called by my name
Would humble themselves, pray, turn from their Gun Violence ways......

SHOTS FIRED....

Shots fired, shotspotter on, 911, what's goin on?
Tires squeal, bullets fly, oh God I hear a baby cry!

Sirens wail, an old woman frail... falls down...her heart begins to fail.
Police, ambulances, a man, blood on his face, will they live?
Maybe... God's grace.

Curious neighbors gather round, some just stare at the ground.
In some houses lights go out. Now I hear a young man shout
"He shot my brother! I'll find him quick!"...The anger in his face, makes me sick.

Too many guns
bullets flying

Shots fired
dying and crying

So many afraid to walk the streets
prisoners in their own homes

Too many guns
in the wrong hands

Neighborhoods and schools turned into
battle lands

What do we do?
What do we say?

Where is hope for
just one day?

Just one day
without bad news

Just one day
with no one dying

Just one day
with no one crying
over a body
lifeless and still

Death by gunfire
such a bitter pill

Why this problem in Massachusetts burdens my soul!

THE BARTLEY-FOX LAW, ENACTED IN MASSACHUSETTS IN APRIL, 1975, WAS INTENDED TO REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF GUN RELATED CRIMES AND ILLICIT CARRYING OF FIREARMS.

Police Officers work hard, risk their lives every day coming across illegally owned weapons, during traffic stops, conducting raids, during actual shooting scenes.

Then in Court, the person arrested walks away on probation, or does a shortened sentence.

Many move on somewhere else and continue the criminal activity. Maybe in your neighborhood next!
