How was it? They have a lousy soundsystem there and while I like the event you usually can't hear them at all...

The sound system was wonderful. I think they learned their lesson last year when you couldn't hear anything...

I always attend and was delighted with the sound upgrades! And the "God Bless America" singer Dana Whiteside was excellent.

The sound system? Was there one in place? We couldn't hear but every other word, but I think it was more a problem (with all due respect) with the reader. Was this the first time he ever saw this document? He stumbled and "uh'd" and "ah'd" through the entire reading. Pretty bad. Felt sorry for out-of-towners who put this event on their "must-do" list.
Depends

The reader is usually a Navy captain that happens to be in town, so it changes year to year. You would think that he would give a read through once or twice before the event though...
The reading has gotten more popular every year, which has driven the need for a better sound system.
