D Line closed for the entire weekend

This is not how I like to find out about service disruptions:
The MBTA employees on site were as surprised as I was - they had only found out about it shortly before my arrival.
Personally, I'm tired of waiting for the MBTA web site to become fully functional

Oh, for chrissake--this is just revolting.
Unbelievable how they regularly pull the wool over people's eyes, isn't it. It's too bad that the Lechmere T Station is going to be moved so far away.

Yeah,
The Green Line out that way is going to be down for the summer -- essential track work if I remember correctly. I only knew about it because my employer, super-mega-huge-healthcare corp, got some special information from the T and emailed to their tens of thousands of employees who take the T.
It's on the mbta site, but not emphasized.
Oh, and I'm with Arborway on the whole 'Huh? Why ya leavin'?' thing!
This is actually separate
This is actually separate from the planned track work that is running through the beginning of September. Right now, the D is only supposed to be shut down between Riverside and Reservoir - not end to end.
I felt really crap telling people last week basically "No! Don't worry! The D Line won't present any more surprises for the rest of the summer!" only have something like this occur.
As for our anonymous friend...I'm still trying to figure out what they are so mad about.
A Challenge for Dan G.
I have a challenge for Dan G., the T General Manager, whose name I cannot spell and won't try to:
Ride the T to work during rush hour from a selected location once a month for a year.
Every third month, use a wheelchair.
I think the service would improve a bit more quickly.
