Dunkin' Donuts has a new promo: Buy a box of Munchkins, get a glowstick. Sara asks why bother?
... Wow! One whole glowstick! Like seriously, what's the point? Did Dunkin Donuts do their research on this? I'm nearly 100% sure that a glowstick would never be a motivating factor in buying a box of Munchkins. Yes, I understand that glowsticks=Halloween, but this is just stupid and a waste of money.

Glo-sticks rule!
For kids up to about age 8, glo-sticks = special-event! Fourth of July isn't complete without a glo-stick, They are spooky (yet safe, for the parents' peace of mind) for Halloween, and they make for great fun during group camping trips or even the occasional late neighborhood party. I guarantee kids will manage to whine their way into Mom or Dad picking up a box of munchkins instead of just a donut when they hit Du-Do for a caffeine fix.
I say glo-sticks are a perfect marketing ploy for boosting Munchkin sales.

Dunkin' Donuts issues glow-stick recall
Dunkin' Brands Inc. said today it is recalling about 1 million pink-and-orange glow sticks distributed as part of a promotion at its Dunkin' Donuts coffee-and-baked goods chain.
The Canton-based company said it is voluntarily recalling the glow sticks because they were not labeled properly to warn customers that the cap and lanyard are a choking hazard to children under the age of three when the pieces are dislodged from the glow stick.
Dunkin' Donuts distributed the glow sticks free with every purchase of a box of 25 or 50 Munchkins donut holes beginning the week of Sept. 24.
The company said it has not received any complaints or reports of injury.

Huh?
If the problem was a lack of warning, why would they need to be thrown away? Anyone who learns about the recall now knows the warning, right? I'm not saying we should allow 3-year olds to keep playing with them, but it seems like the glow sticks are just fine for anyone else. With lead laced recalls and magnet based recalls abounding, this sort of thing seems pretty tame in comparison.
I loved the last line
Makes it sound like Dunk's is urging parents to rush right into the nursery and take away their kid's most beloved toy right this second before it explodes or something.
