The Ancient and Honorably Artillery Company, the hemisphere's oldest military unit, elects its officers the first Monday of every June and then marches to the Granary Burial Ground to lay a wreath at the gravesite of Robert Keayne - the company's first captain.

I think maybe one or two of them are Veterans. Not sure if they saw any combat though.

Based on his unit ribbons (I can't see his individual decorations), the gentleman in front served with the USMC in Vietnam. It's hard to tell about the others and the unit may have its own system of decorations. The website says many are veterans, but it's not a requirement.

To quote Howie Carr (and whoever he took it from), "The Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company..invincible in peace, invisible in war."

UPDATE: East Cambridge, you beat me to it. I hadn't seen your post prior. Glad to know it was Curley.

...you should check out their museum, on the third floor of the building in Faneuil Hall nearest the back of City Hall. There's a lot of history in that loft.

They did have lots of cool hats though - Admiral Nelson and the guards at Buckingham palace would have been jealous - they march right by my office - not sure what else they do - but it was a cool little parade.
