BU biolab could begin some work this fall

But initially, only on tuberculosis, not ebola, the Daily Free Press reports.

This alleged biolab is just a cover for the real operation: The John Silber Immortality Project. What do you think BU needs with all those new buildings? Legitimate research? Please.

The whole thing's a cover, man. Silber is creating bioweapons to take over the world, man. It's like, the government is putting microchips in our brains, man. The corporations, they want me to take my pills like a good little sheep. We're all just spokes in the wheel, bro!

I'm going to start laying the paper trail for a massive class action suit now, and head to law school, so that I'll be graduated and ready by the time they fuck this up.

They'll try to mount a defense, but people will be, like, "You brought ebola into Boston?!?!?! So, does your checkbook go up to 12 digits?"

I understand MIT has a nuclear reactor on campus. Get to work.

MIT people are not going to be accidentally contaminating the Green Line with ebola after a long day at the lab.

You know how most of the money from a class-action suit ends up going to the lawyers? Can I get an advance on my billions of dollars right now? I need a private car. And two houses outside of town, in different directions, for depending on which direction is downwind.

With respect to BU, as this kind of research is generally done with heavy government involvement (and, I believe in the case of the most dangerous stuff, only with government participation and approval), I'm going to get out there and say that you'll be wanting to ask your first year torts professor about the "Government Contractor Defense". You would have to prove some pretty gross negligence.

As for the City, as a political subdivision of the Commonwealth it enjoys a fair bit of immunity, and for those torts for which the Commmonwealth has consented to be sued for (to those which full immunity does not extend), the limits on damages that are well short of 12 digits. I'm not sure how the City would have any culpability in the first place, but hell, I figured I play along.

As for relying on the "people" to get you those 12 digits, well, your 1st year Civil Procedure professor will talk about the concept of "judgment as a matter of law", formerly known by that swanky acronym JNOV.

Now there's a rapper name. JNOV out, bro - and don't forget to inhale deeply when walking through the South End.

Did you know that BL4 facilities have operated safely in major cities like Atlanta, GA and Bethesda, MD for years?

Did you know that Tufts operates a BL3-4 facility in Grafton?
