Northeastern student gets message about his parking

The Huntington News reports a Northeastern grad student who parked his car overnight in a college parking lot on Columbus Avenue returned the next afternoon to find both his side mirrors ripped off and a note "criticizing his parking and threatening to vandalize the car next time it is improperly parked."

to this...in a city where parking spots are at a premium, people who can't park really piss me off. I wouldn't vandalize the car obviously, but I've definitely left some notes on people's windshields. Another thing that sucks is people who decide to learn how to parallel park on a busy street during rush hour.

thanks Adam for the NEU stories. From my reading, I feel this is a stronger story. Or at least, stranger...

"A student at 122 St. Stephen St. reported she went downstairs to let in a friend and found a strange, disoriented man wearing only underpants in the outer foyer of the building. He said he did not know where he lived. She decided to take pity on him and invited him into her apartment, where she and her friends dressed him, got his name and tried to determine if they had any mutual friends on Facebook. Unable to get in touch with anyone who knew the man, the students called NUPD. Officers determined the man was a 19-year-old student who lived in another part of the building. He admitted he was using ecstasy and was reported to OSCCR. NUPD counseled the students who let him into their apartment on safer options should they find a disoriented stranger in their foyer."

Yeah, another outstanding effort from the News folks, but I thought, sure, these girls got really lucky that the guy in his underwear in their lobby was a fellow student on Ecstasy, rather than a homicidal meth head, but their heart was in the right place and they were doing something kind, as opposed to the typical Crime Log contestants, who find themselves at the bottom of stairwells covered in their own vomit or in loud arguments with their roommates, so I decided to cut these nameless people a break. Yeah, I'm going soft ...

Is just depressing. Back when I was a student, we knew how to hold our liquor!

This is what the drinking age (and agreesive enforcement there of) has gotten us. College aged kids with no experience drinking. That, and kids who have an easier time getting their hands on drugs than booze.

Working out sooooo well, isn't it?
