Boston could get first Chick-fil-A

The Huntington News reports the chicken chain is negotiating with Northeastern to open a six-day-a-week outlet in a renovated Curry Student Center this summer.

Chargrilled with waffle fries and a half sweet half unsweetened tea.

Looks like I'll be hanging with the NU children!

The dining hall at the Harvard Science Center used to serve Chick-Fil-A (along with other non-franchised food). This dining hall was always closed on weekends, so the Sunday issue never came up.

It was the only thing that got me to Science Center lectures some days.

I don't remember it being that much better than non-hatemongering fast food chains, though.

I don't know why people are THAT excited. I've been able to get my waffle fry and milkshake fix at Burlington and Nashua for eons. Do appreciate the fact they offer Buffalo dipping sauce, even if it's not particularly great buffalo sauce. It's the thought that counts.
Although I could personally do without all their god-praisin' and hate mongerin'.

...we avoided Chick-fil-A due to "all their god-praisin' and hate mongerin'".

If they want to do that, it is their right.

HOWEVER they won't be able to skirt MA law if they hire a gay person with a spouse and family and try to deny their marriage.

You do realize that Chick-Fil-A has been successfully operating in the Burlington and Northshore Mall for years, right? This is not their first MA location.

"I don't know why people are THAT excited. I've been able to get my waffle fry and milkshake fix at Burlington and Nashua for eons."

A matter of convenience for folks directly in the metro area. I live in Cambridge and if I want to go to Chick-Fil-A, I have to either drive to Burlington or hop the 350 bus from Alewife. Either proposition means I'm getting there, at best, at around 6:30/7:00 after work (Considering if I drive I'm moving with the outbound rush hour traffic and I have to hit a highway junction going either 2/95 or 93/95, either of which is a nightmare at rush hour) basically hop the green line over and be there inside of fifteen minutes and then just catch the 47 back to Central.

The difference in accessibility is huge for the urban area. As it stands, both Nashua and Burlington are massive pains to get to if you're starting from the metro area.

They must've gotten wind of all those city chicken stories.

Now I must fly the coop!

The You-do-it Electronics store near the junction of routes 9 and 128 in Newton also closes on Sundays, but I don't know if it's for the same reason.

HELL YES! Sometimes I drive to the Burlington Mall or Northshore Mall just to have Chick-Fil-A. Put one in DTX too and watch the area spring back to life instantly!
