Frat boys face charges in BU condiment duct-tape hazing

Boston Police report they've charged 14 men with a total of 70 criminal complaints for that alleged hazing incident late Sunday/early Monday - and that the owners of 24 Ashford St. are now seeking to evict the fraternity involved:

All 14 suspects will face complaints of Hazing, Failure to Report Hazing and Assault & Battery. 3 of the 14suspects will also face complaints of Keeper of a Disorderly House. The hearing is scheduled for May 7, 2012 at Brighton District Court.

Police described how officers found five duct-taped men in the basement of the 24 Ashford St. house:

While in the back of the house officers observed the basement bulkhead door was open and numerous voices were heard. Officers looked into the basement and observed five people, who were in a circle just wearing their underwear.

The five victims were covered in food, condiments and beer. Officers observed the victims to be shivering and fearful. They were all tied together via duct tape wrist to wrist to form a human chain. Officers inquired if they were alright and no one replied verbally to the officers. One of the victims looked at the officers with tears coming down his face shook his head from right to left and back indicating no.

Officers cut the five victims loose and and brought them upstairs. Officers interviewed suspects that were present in the house and they denied knowing why there were victims in the basement freezing, humiliated, petrified and covered in various substances.

Officers also noticed that all five victims had red welts and markings all over their backs. They were also checking the back of their heads which had been shaved in some areas. The victims were then allowed to go downstairs and retrieve their clothes that had been thrown into a big pile.

The Globe reports at least two of the frat boys were also involved in a forced-drinking hazing at a BU sorority last month.

Did we learn nothing from Animal House? You want to be in the frat with Blutarsky, not the one with Neidermeyer.

Kudos to the writer for bringing an element of gay fetish porn to the police report.

So amazing that they managed to do all this to themselves? High quality pledges, no doubt! They get more flexible every year.
