Laughing killer to spend at least 15 years in prison for stabbing teen to death in JP parking lot

A Suffolk Superior Court jury today found Hector Soto of Roslindale guilty of second-degree murder for the stabbing death of Kenneth Soto - no relation - in October, 2011, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

The conviction means a mandatory sentence of life in prison - but with the possibility of parole after 15 years.

One of Soto's pals, Christian Rivera of Mission Hill, was convicted of being an accessory to murder.

Prosecutors say the two Sotos arrived in separate groups at the market at the intersection of South Huntington Avenue and Centre Street around 4:20 a.m. on Oct. 11, 2011. An argument turned into a fight:

During the altercation, evidence showed, Hector Soto stabbed the victim multiple times and laughed as he fled the scene in a vehicle. Kenneth Soto stumbled into the 7-11, where he collapsed. He was pronounced dead at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Hector Soto and Rivera fled the scene and went to Rivera's home.

Can we know what is the killer's religious belief? Or should the religion only be stated if you think the killer was Muslim?!!
Thanks

This comment makes no sense. What does religion have to do with anything, that doesn't appear to be the motivation.
