Election roundup: Get the popcorn

WGBH will host a mayoral debate tonight, on both Channel 2 and 89.7 FM.

US Rep. Mike Capuano endorsed Walsh yesterday:

Marty is one of the few people that I have ever met that I would cross over broken glass to help. I don't do this very often because I think members of Congress should use their endorsement and their support very sparingly. [Marty Walsh] will stand up for people – he'll stand up for human rights, civil liberties. He'll stand up for education. He'll stand up for housing needs and do it with strength, with integrity, and directness.

In recent days, Walsh has picked up endorsements from most of the city's minority elected officials (although not Councilor Ayanna Pressley), but Connolly showed he has some black friends, too. Those supporters include Rev. Miniard Culpepper, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Rev. William E. Dickerson, Greater Love Tabernacle.

More like pop a Melatonin!

The last debate was 0% debating and 100% reading pre-written statements.

I'd rather rather listen to Swirly rant about bike lanes.

Sometimes she questions whether or not someone who is missing and feared to be dead by her family might just be taking vacation. She has kids you see, and therefore probably knows a bit more about this than the worried family. Or anyone really.

To do with anything with this topic?

Am I seriously that important in your daily life?

Several times I thought they were going to hug one another.

Yeah, the same ones kept off union work sites.

So what does that say about the value of Mr. Capuano's constituents?

I was considering a donation to Marty Walsh until I saw that Capuano, the clown who told union thugs to "get bloody" in the streets, endorsed him. Walsh already had the unions and with the unfavorability rate of Washington pols at the moment, he should have told Capuano thanks but no thanks. I had already ruled out Connolly because of who supports him and the prior anonymous attack on Murphy. At least I'll save a few bucks this election.
