ExpressingBoston: Bomba Sankofa

Earlier this month, Bomba Sankofa put on a "bombazo" flash mob at Mozart Park in Jamaica Plain:

Sankofa uses Bomba -- a genre of Afro-Puerto Rican folk music -- to bridge cultures and create dialogues for multicultural understanding, healing and unity.

Methinks Sankofa is intellectualizing bomba a bit too much. Watching a Bomba performance is awesome. The music is catchy too.
I'm not sure where the "healing" came into play.
