that I don't even know who to root for on this one.

City of Boston has been doing a lot of "winning" on social media. Whoever they have hired appears right for the job.

On the other hand the mofos towed Lou Pelletier's car yesterday while he was negotiating with his daughter's kidnappers.

He wouldn't have been here to be towed if he and his wife had been able to demonstrate they are able to act in their daughter's best interests.

Between the parenting skills and where they should park.

This is not to pick on you, but rather both you and Dave. Maybe the family is being screwed by DCF, or maybe they're not. If they are being screwed, that's no reason to park in a tow zone. If not, well, I guess it still means don't park in a tow zone.

In short, if you don't want your car towed, don't park in a tow zone. Anything about raising children I'm not touching with a 10 meter pole.

In addition, how the hell should BPD/BTD know what the owners of the car were doing? They probably didn't even recognize the name associated with the plates (I know I didn't the name until I read more context).

Dave was just bringing up a hot button issue because it involved parking in some highly tangential way as a way of stirring up shit. I was pointing out that the tangential link was weak and the cause of why they got the ticket in the first place. If he was so concerned about the tow/ticket, then he's barking up the wrong tree to complain about it here.

Of course, Dave probably thinks the entire state is in on the conspiracy to deprive these loving parents their daughter...from the Governor all the way down to the tow truck driver.

I was just taking the non-issue out of the issue.

It would be akin to parting in front of a fire hydrant while visiting your dying mother, logic wise. Just because you care about your family (again, taking the claims on face level) doesn't mean you can park anywhere.

As in, do you think the meter maids who ticketed the car and the tow operator who towed it knew or cared whose car it was? Their job is to remove illegally parked cars from spaces marked "No parking / Tow Zone"

This tornado tickets you. This tornado tickets you.

An entitled brat thinks they deserve FREE parking at our expense? How mature.

... on the ticket, and not the parking officer -- right? In which case, wow, I'm disappointed. Ya gotta pay to park, even if you're doing celebrity charity stuff.

But now I have. Looks like a big win for this Necco woman!

Looks like a big win for this Necco woman!

I'll have to tell her that I love her wafers.

I like Nilla's, too.

Necco wafers are candy, Nilla wafers are cookies. I remember when the NECCO factory was on Mass Ave near MIT. It wasn't all that long ago. It's Novartis now. Necco wafers were really popular when I was a kid, but I haven't seen them around in ages.

Sometimes indecipherable means you're so intelligent that other folks can't understand the concepts you're discussing. Sometimes it just means you're charlatan. I'll let you guys figure out where Chris falls.

Why?

I'm just wondering why the BPD has never noticed the cars illegally parked ON city hall plaza for decades. When did parking on the sidewalk become legal?

On that note, last week I observed a woman attempting to maneuver backing out of a street parking space accidentally back up over the curb. As if admitting defeat, she continued slowly backing up until her SUV was entirely on the sidewalk. It was amazing.

DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM!? I'M NEKO! Yeah, that's right...a phone call and your job is history, you pleb!

Well, she did pay it. Just not happily.

You'll disrupt people's imaginary story lines intended to make the singer look bad.

I don't even live in Boston, but i'm more than willing to take one for the team on this one.

That's pretty lame of her. I don't see her saying she got the ticket unfairly unless I missed it.

up

I didn't look much into it, but from what I saw, she tweeted something to the effect of, "And I was at a charity event!" Alright, big deal. You can't break laws because you're performing for a charity.

up

No , you can only break laws if you work for the goverment.....

What does that have to do with what happened here?

They want Neko Case back.

with the New Pornos, someone threw a CD at her bandmate Carl, and she went off. It was awesome.
