Gouda news for Roslindale: Cheese shop to reopen

Adam Shutes of Roslindale reports he's bought the Boston Cheese Cellar and hopes to re-open the shop next to the wine shop on Birch Street in May.

The shop will remain as Boston Cheese Cellar, and remain as a locally-owned and operated cheese shop.

We aim to re-open in May, and are looking forward to continuing the good work that has gone before us, and to make Boston Cheese Cellar the destination for sampling, purchasing and learning about amazing global & local cheeses and specialty foods.

He bought the shop from Kathy Lacher and John Pierce, who closed at the end of February.

Eff all you people who are good with puns ...

Nice little shop run by good people; glad to see the change in ownership vs. it closing down for good

As a kid I never understood a lot of the cheese names in that sketch, and to this day I'll see a list of cheeses in a sampler plate (or something) and be like, "Oh THAT'S what they were saying!"
