Man charged with videoing guy in stall next to him in Downtown Crossing men's room

Rocco Collella, 30, of the South End, was released on personal recognizance yesterday on a charge of videotaping an unsuspecting person in the nude for a February incident in the men's room at the Marshalls store in Downtown Crossing, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Assistant District Attorney Eric Anderson told the court that Boston Police on Feb. 26 were called to Marshalls on Washington Street, where a 25-year-old Southborough man reported that while using the store’s restroom he observed an individual kneeling in an adjacent stall and recording the victim with a phone. When the victim shouted, the individual fled. A store surveillance camera showed the then-unknown suspect – who at about 6’ tall and 190 pounds with a bald head cut a distinctive figure – entering the bathroom approximately an hour prior to the incident and then running out and onto Washington Street immediately after he was observed by the victim.

By the time police arrived, the guy had fled. But he allegedly returned March 9, when Marshalls security called BPD after "he spent about 45 minutes in the men’s room."

A security guard followed him to a nearby gym, where police questioned him and he allegedly acknowledged using his iPhone the week before. Police took away his phone and issued him a summons for a court appearance yesterday.

Innocent, etc.

did a quick search on this guy.. and if the guy in a linkedin profile is the same guy (description matches the picture).. wow. the guy seems like a professional.

Funny, when I did that, I'm connected to that profile by a few people I used to work with at another company. So I indirectly know this guy probably.

While lacking the self control to avoid acting on such impulses may lead you to various types of financial and social ruin, these sorts of antisocial impulses and acts don't seem to be limited to the kind of people who live on the street.
