The original Herbie's Ramrod Room (as it was called then) was on Carver Street in Park Square. It was there until they demolished pretty much the entire street to build the Transportation Building in the early 80s. It was one of those sawdust-on-the-floor, ceiling fan kind of places.

Too cute. I know someone is missing that little pig.

People often give kids stuffed animals and balloons for hospital stays, the way you'd send an adult flowers: a kid with a decent extended network could easily end up with 10-20 of them over the duration of a hospital stay, if aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, neighbors, teachers, parents' coworkers, all send a Get Well gift.

As far as stuffies go, he's pretty clean and in good condition, whereas the well-loved ones usually look pretty dirty/ratty. It's entirely possible that someone helping pack up the kid's room ended up overloaded with gifts while loading the car and had no clue one didn't make it.

That said, it is incredibly thoughtful of the hospital to make their best attempt to reunite the stuffy with his owner, in case there is a distraught child missing his/her Piggy.
