but they are free to pester as many suckers as they want on pedestrian and bicycle friendly streets there. More colleagues may want to join them, even, its so vibrant, pedestrian, panhandler, and molester friendly.

the crew at Fresh Pond and Route 2 near Alewife. Any sucker who's dumb enough to actually stop for a red light is probably an easy fish to hook.

Giving them income opportunities and resulting in them camping below and around in the woods. When there was a rotary and traffic didn't have to stop when not gridlocked, I don't recall either vagrant problem there when a rotary there.

I'm sure that has to do only with the rotary and no other social factors. In fact, I think the removal of that rotary was responsible for the explosion of homelessness all over the country!

Remove the seating and people don't hang around so much. In these cases its mostly the infrastructure at work than external social factors. Having Alewife station and transportation for homeless is a necessary ingredient, just as having people around who might want to sit on a bench.

If you want to assign blame, blame the closing of large institutional mental hospitals.
