Police: Bank robber who didn't wear a mask tells teller not to do anything stupid

Man wanted for Cambridge bank robbery

Cambridge Police report they are looking for this 50-something guy for an attempted holdup at the Leader Bank in Central Square this past Tuesday.

Police say he walked into the bank shortly before 3 p.m.

The suspect stated to an employee, "don't be stupid, this is a robbery," and mentioned a gun. The suspect had what appeared to be crumpled up paper in his gloved hand as well. The suspect appeared to get nervous when another employee came close and fled. The suspect wore gloves and very noticeable neon pink/red/orange sneakers.

to me that he is not reaching for a weapon but his Charlie Card. You take he Red Line to Washington then pick up the Orange line. The more adventurous would take a few busses then walk over the bridge.

very noticeable pink-red-orange neon running shoes. I always think when I'm wearing my very noticeable neon blue and yellow running shoes that I better put off robbing any banks or 7-11s that day. Ditto jumping elderly women coming home from church with their social security money.
