Teen gets into English High with a gun, police say

Boston Police report arresting a 17-year-old they say got into English High around noon with an unloaded gun.

Police say school police officers stopped him as soon as they spotted him inside because they knew he was a former student who had no business being at the school.

As such, they approached and escorted him to the principal’s office to better understand his reasoning for being on school grounds. Once there, officers conducted a search of the suspect’s backpack. During which, officers located and recovered a firearm.

He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.

I am sorry these kids, you want to be there for them, then you hear this. I just hope he off the streets for a long while. You have to guess that he was up to no good to be at that school. In a parents mind, school is supposed to be a safe ground where you can strive for excellence, not fear for your life.

Thanks for grouping them all together, I am sure you were very supportive before this happened. You won't be there any longer for them because a kid who no longer attends the school snuck a gun in? Hope you're not a parent.

Why even give them that designation if they are not granted the tools police use?

1. Was he on January college break and wanted to thank his former teachers for their kindness, devotion to teaching, and support?

2. Dropped out and wanted to re-enroll?

3. Was attending school in juvenile detention.

4. Was expelled for being a dangerous criminal disruptive to education and a risk to other students?
