Six BC students tackle guy they think is a potential burglar

Then Boston Police arrive and release him because they didn't have probable cause for arrest, the Heights reports. And they took him to the hospital for the injuries he suffered when tackled.

I suppose the 27 year old will be onto greener pastures. Mission accomplished.

But I thought cops lived to incriminate people like this "burglar"?!

You mean to tell me that someone else's bias led to a police response?

My brain just exploded. It goes against everything the media has been telling me to believe about the police.

to rummage around in people's backyards. If you see this in your backyard don't call the police. There would be no probable cause to detain the intruder.

Why no trespassing charge?

According to Krall, the man had tried to get into his house, but was unsuccessful.

Attempted Breaking and Entering? A felony, arrestable all day and night, even by a private citizen if they can show the suspect "in fact committed" the crime. A "ground ball" as a great Captain taught us in the academy. There must be more to this.

And I'm going to bet Krall saw that man look into the house instead of an actual attempt at a B@E. Just guessing though. There also may have been identification issues from the first time.

Somebody is having fond memories of the time that Newman Flanagan let the BPD do systematic warrantless home invasions on Mission Hill.

A cop just can't have that sort of fun anymore, and it's all Obama's fault!

How many people did you personally terrorize that week in 1990? Those were the days!
