I wonder if Clay Bucholz could get it over the plate.

From Wikipedia:

Ross's version has twelve verses and a rousing chorus. There is repeated reference to rolling balls and constant motion, and rolling "great canvas balls"[6] became a physical prop in the campaign pageantry, alongside the better-known log cabins and hard cider barrels.

Is there really part of West Newton Street in Back Bay? I thought it was all South End.

Back Bay and the South End are divided by the orange line, which is the Southwest Corridor Park. North of that, West Newton crosses St Botolph St, Public Alley 403, and Huntington Ave, before becoming Belvidere St.

Most people I know (including someone who lives on St. Botolph) consider St. Botolph to be South End, with Huntington Ave, not Southwest Corridor Park, being the dividing line between South End and Back Bay. As to the original post, it is possible the person taking the photo was standing in Back Bay if they were standing on the Pru side of Huntington, but that does not appear to be the case.

Although the city gives bby resident parking stickers on that side of the orange line, it's still considered the south end by many.

Opinion is not fact. Having grown up in the Back Bay we all knew the Orange Line was the border.

Back Bay and South End resident permit parking is divided by the Southwest Corridor Park. Using that as reference, the picture is in Back Bay looking South.

And resident parking zones are the only thing that matter. After all, they make it so much harder to drive to visit friends and family on the other side of the line.
