Brush fires erupt in West Roxbury, Needham

Boston firefighters are in the woods near Roxbury Latin School for a brush fire. Firefighters are entering the woods through Eagle and Willet streets.

The Boston Fire Department reports the fire went to four alarms but that no homes were threatened by the blaze.

Julie C. reports there's also a brush fire near the Great Plain Avenue off 128.

It's behind the section of the neighborhood where most of the streets are named for birds: Eagle, Heron, Quail, Thrush, Petrel, Curlew, Sparrow, Partridge, Plover, Swan, Pheasant, Grouse and Bobolink streets.
