2-year-old girl shot in Roxbury in possible gang hit on father

The girl was shot while in a car with her father around 4 p.m. on Winslow Street, near Zeigler. He rushed her to Boston Medical Center.

Kelli O'Hara reports Boston Police are investigating whether the shooting was part of a gang feud and that the shooter was targeting the father.

The Globe reports police are looking for a guy on a scooter, that the girl is expected to survive and that the father is not cooperating with police.

Police run their mouth too much so if the father speaks the city will know then they will be targeting his whole family.Pray for the baby, father and family this is bcuz of the last week mess that still is not resolved.

I'm assuming you're a decent person, and that you feel that you're not being protected adequately by the city.

I think that you should demand that the perpetrators be caught and locked away until they're 80.

And you should stop telling people not to cooperate with the police, if you want the perpetrators caught.

Yes thats the problem. Certainly not the gang member who got his daughter shot. You make as much sense as Donald Trump.

Wait. Don't get wrong as I'm not part of Trump army but I don't guite think he is progang and antipolice.

the father, who is not cooperating with the investigation.

So there will be more blood when dad does his own thing.

The father should tell all to police, immediately. I would be very upset at the shooter if my daughter was shot.

Any indication it is related to the shooting on Zeigler and Dearborn a week ago?

If it is then the shooting of a 2 year old shows clearly that the retaliatory street killing of Jesse Dieusinor did not "take care of that" as commentators stated and approved. Instead it perpetuated the violence. And a toddler is shot.

It's a vicious cycle. Commenters, including myself, were noting that the other victim's death most probably closed that open murder case, judicially speaking.

I doubt anyone is naive enough to thing any of these shootings are solving anything.

I'd hazard that the shooters themselves are merely out for vengeance and retaliation.

We're not talking Michael Corleone strategically striking his enemies here.

Thoughts are with the child. Very sad.

I think my point escaped you.
I was referring specifically to:
1. the comment in the link that did indeed state point-blank "well that takes care of that" where the 1st 'that' referred to the extra-judical/street-'justice' killing; and the 2nd 'that' refers to the targeted guy being a criminal wanted for murder.
2. and then the fact that the comment got about 35 upvotes indicating there is a large fraction of society that is happy to see 'thug' 'street justice' instead of clogging up our court system and prisons...just get it over with Duerte-style ; no need for due process or for trying to reduce the likelihood that there will be street retaliation.

No kidding that 'I'd hazard that the shooters themselves are merely out for vengeance and retaliation.'
But it doesn't take care of anything, just leads to escalation.

Let's hope the child is okay and recovers, so she can run, play and lead a normal life like other children.

Pray for the children they are the future of the city. As far as dear old dad get ready to duck if you are around him because his teenage assassins are probably looking for him.

At least in public.
Hoping for the best for this innocent child. She's got a lot of cards dealt against already it seems.
