Student charged with bringing gun to K-8 school in Roxbury
Boston Police today arrested a 12-year-old student who arrived at the Trotter Innovation School, 135 Humboldt Ave., with an unloaded gun.
Boston Public Schools released a transcript of the robo-call school Principal Mairead Nolan made to parents about the incident:
This is Principal Mairead Nolan calling to inform you that this morning we seized an unloaded firearm and another weapon during an administrative search of a student’s bag. Boston Police were immediately called, and the student was arrested. The student will be disciplined through the Boston Public Schools' code of conduct, in addition to whatever actions law enforcement authorities take. I want to ensure you that the safety of our students and staff is always a top priority at BPS, and we followed all the appropriate steps to ensure that no one in our school community was in any danger.

Surely
There was more to the costume...
Innovation School
That's a very innovative way to show up to school.
They had to stop at K-8
If they added ninth grade, the whole school would have gone to the dogs.
