Neighbors still hate proposed subdivision next to forest on JP/West Roxbury line

The Jamaica Plain Gazette reports neighbors of the proposed 64 Allandale St. subdivision are still blasting it even after the developer lopped 2 units off the 20 she'd originally proposed. Too dense for something right next to Allandale Woods they say.

The BPDA had already approved the 20-unit proposal; the change means it will have to vote on it again - and after that comes a hearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Looking for Roslindale Bordering Streets' Names at https://www.google.com/search?q=zoning+maps+roslindale&tbm=isch

>"Roslindale (n=41). Wait, is Roslindale a real place or just the name of an RMV branch? Poor Rozzie had the worst data of the lot. It’s just, you know, down there somewhere in between other neighborhoods. What you see here is after some purging of especially bizarre data that were throwing everything too far out of whack. No strong majority here, although the 50% and 25% area are reasonably clearly defined in places. Some of the rest, though… who knows. There’s even a weird floating piece of 25% territory."

one has to follow the BPDA maps. They don't necessarily match zip code areas nor other customary border designations. But . . . they are clear.

I know that Bostonography link is not a scientific survey, but when 50 percent of the surveyed people think Roslindale Square is not part of Roslindale, then I blame the methodology.

I was kinda hoping there was a 75% Roslindale consensus on some West Roxbury property so maybe someday in the future on a lazy summer day we could just go annex it without too much blowback.
