Police say girl indecently attacked near Hyde Park footbridge

Boston Police report they are investigating an indecent attack on a female juvenile near the bridge that crosses from Truman Parkway to Glenwood Avenue over the Fairmount Line train tracks and the Neponset River about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police say the girl or young teen was attacked on the Hyde Park Avenue side of the bridge by a white man, 25 to 30, 5'7" and chubby, with a mustache. He wore a black North Face jacket, black jeans and black sneakers, and fled over the bridge towards Truman Parkway.

Is that a joke or is there more to the story that this was a Trump supporter?

I hope its not a joke. I used to have to walk over that footbridge and this is a serious story. Taking that footbridge is a very necessary shortcut and I too would trust walking at 7:30am with commuters and school kids out. Very scary and I hope the young girl is okay.

Just, no.

Referring to the presidentially approved method of meeting women is off limits? "You can do anything..."

There's plenty of victims who have willingly come forward on top of the rest of his lies and scandals and bullshit, there's no need to pull some poor girl into it to score political points. It's cheap and callous.

SwirlyGrrl,

That is such a reckless, ill-considered comment.

Hope the victim ends up OK...somehow.

I'm sure she was just being sarcastic. Unless of course she is a Trump supporter too and condones things like this, which I highly doubt. I tend to disagree with her a lot but she seems like a decent person.

I just don't think it's warranted here. We have enough actual cases of Trump-inspired attacks that we don't need to be sarcastic about others.

"Just another patriot making America great again!"

Poor girl gets indecently assaulted and that's all you have? So, your sympathy level is zero and all you can see is Trump. Your petulant vitriol, although it might play for some, is beginning to get misplaced.

Here, try some of this:

I was thinking it would make a great gag gift for my man, who uses things like ChamoisBUTTr and D's Nuts when cycling, but it wasn't in stock anywhere.

I'm guessing that These Guys snapped it all up when someone told them that they weren't special little sunbeams anymore.

Then they doubled down and bought more when it didn't work because they wanted to believe that "Dr." Trump would fix everything.

..why you didn't defend your initial comment?

Likely because there is no defense for that comment.

Surprising... There are always a lot of commuters and school kids around that bridge at that time. Seems brazen.

As opposed to a "decent attack"?

What's with people thinking one thing means the exclusion of something else? To say she was indecently attacked is not to say there is some form of decent attack out there. It means what it says.

...why SwirlyGrrl didn't take back (or apologize for) her pathetic comment.

Perhaps she feels emboldened by Adam's follow-up comment...or perhaps UH readers are just "supposed to know" that she didn't mean it.
