The Dig informs us about some Cambridge guy involved in a pump-and-dump scheme to defraud investors with some alleged smartphone-based cannabis marketing tool.

Beware of "marijuana" stocks
I've seen a bunch of online ads lately along the lines of "Get Rich in marijuana stocks!" They are ALL scams.

Driving in Watertown yesterday, I saw a billboard advertising an app for locating weed. Different name from the one mentioned here, but I wonder - if it's a legit app - if it will be tarred with the same brush?

They've been around for awhile, just now moving into Massachusetts (they're the ones that were advertising for brand ambassadors at local colleges).
saw the same in chelsea of all places
Along that long stretch of Beacham. Could not for the life of me figure out what demographic they were trying to reach - stressed-out long-haul truckers maybe? It was facing the wrong way for folks driving into the city from Logan.
I'm seriously considering entering this business
It's a suckers game to be involved in direct sales to people. Too much regulatory hassle, higher security risk due to having to be all-cash etc. Just not worth it. The real money is going to be at the edges of the emerging economy.

You could make a killing off developing and selling recyclable/biodegradable packaging. This is something desperately needed not just in new markets but in existing markets in Colorado - I think most consumers (myself included) would pay a little extra for this packaging as well.

did Trump ban plastic recycling? I haven't been paying attention for like 24 hours...nothing is impossible.
Can you not recycle the plastic containers weed comes in? I don't get it.

Most shops use plastic canisters or packets that are not recyclable under current CO or most state laws, and there's only so many canisters you can turn into spice jars or storage for loose nuts and bolts
