I hope these motorists were wearing a seat belt. More than half the drivers I see on the streets are not wearing seat belts. Cars are equipped with safety gear and drivers must pass a test to drive safely. Even though its against the law to use your phone or speed while driving, it is never enforced by police. It seems like its a free for all. Everyone on the road need to have safety equipment-- lights, helmets, horns. Additionally, I am totally concerned about both drugged and distracted driving. Until there are requirements that are enforced, Boston is not a safe city due to motorists. I have motorists in my family. When something happens to a motorist, it is personal.

I always wear my helmet when I drive my car into the city. Ironically enough, I seem to be the only one in my circle of friends who gets pulled over and forced to take a field sobriety test on a very regular basis.
