City council candidate opposes teaching anal sex to kindergarteners

Roy Owens, who runs for a different office every year, this year is running for the District 7 City Council seat Tito Jackson is giving up to run for mayor. And he's come out with both guns blazing against teaching anal sex to kindergarteners, which is a position none of the other 12 candidates for the seat have publicly taken, probably because, oh, come on, seriously now?

In a flier he's distributing in the district, Owens claims a bill in the state legislature would mandate telling kindergarten students how to have "same sex, oral and anal sex," and that that would lead to 100% of all students becoming gay as well as "pro immorality and pro atheist."

The specific bill he's fretting about, of course, says no such thing and, in fact, would create a requirement that school districts that offer sex-ed classes give parents the right to see the curriculum beforehand and to withdraw their children without penalty.

Has Roy Owens stopped beating his wife?

Forget Christian Counseling and Prepubescent Anal Sex, the much more frightening aspect of that flyer is the Hellspawn of a Grocer's Apostrophe at the bottom.

I mean, you have to explain in graphic detail or they won't get it!

How else can you explain your hate of gay people without discussing anal sex!

(yes, there are people who think this way ... they don't explain straight marriages with details, just gay ones ... never mind that women have assholes, too ...)

He appeared on a BNN program and went on a rant on children being taught all sex stuff Adam mentioned, it was one of the craziest ten minutes of my life. I'm glad my host was strong.

Now that's a position I can get behind.

This sounds like another "straight" man who finds homosexual sex so incredibly tempting that he doesn't understand that a lot of people really are heterosexual.

It's quite odd that a guy who's supposedly focusing "protecting" students from sex ed, has an e-mail address that contains a reference to a penis piercing (see the link to the flier).

Why are we teaching kids of kindergarten age about sex at all?

Does any mention of anything connected to sexual activity equal "teaching about sex" to you? If not, consider that while it doesn't make sense to teach kindergartners about, for example, safer sex, it makes all kinds of sense to try to teach them (in an intelligent, sane and age-appropriate way) to identify certain types of predatory behavior and deal with them.

Pervs.

Young kids need to be introduced to the idea of consent and also to "bad touching".

Adults shouldn't touch them in certain ways, and kids should tell another adult if they do.

Really that simple.

Funny how the people who resist these things the most come from groups that cover up for a lot of "bad touching" of children.

A bill, admitting the existence of sex-ed classes, mandates that schools allow parents to withdraw their children if they choose.

He sees, a bill mandating sex-ed classes, to kindergarteners, and that anal sex be part of the curriculum.

New Hampshire had a similar brouhaha a couple years ago where an antidiscrimination law regarding transsexuals got transformed into "mandating private businesses allow men to use ladies rooms." "The bathroom bill" became the unofficial name of the bill in the media.

What is about these kind of soc con loons and these inverted-logic fallacies?

This is even an actual thing that there is a choice to be for or against? I think people will find out about anal sex soon enough in life. Let kids be kids for a while.

People with rotten brains have been claiming that "teaching kids about all kinds of families" is the same as "teaching anal sex to kindergartners" for a while. That's because they can't think about gay people without getting excited by anal sex - so you have to go into great detail about anal sex to explain two men marrying, of course!
