It's bombogenesis, maybe

Are your hatches well battened down? The National Weather Service is warning now would be a good time to bring stuff inside.

Those would be great with some of those Walden Local Meat maple breakfast sausage patties that I have in the freezer.

I wander my property asking myself this - can it fly? This includes tree limbs. If the answer is yes, I tie it down or put it away!

Busted bike frame used to support peas - away
lawn chair stack - tied down
Kayaks on rack - tied down
Composter lids - tied down
Grill? Already bike locked to deck.

Don't forget your garbage cans! Although figuring out which ones belong to which houses can be a community event.

Lawnmower? Check.
Small rocks? Check.
Stack of bricks I was going to use to repair the front walk that I'm probably putting off until next year? Check.
Car? Already in living room.

Well, since the Pats game is over, time to take the Conestoga to the Stoppie, with the radio on, and get some chicken wings to grill. If there are any left.

Remember the important things, folks, in these difficult times...the packies might close a bit early on a Sunday.
Oh, and if you hear a loud bang, it's probably a tree or a branch...like this one.

In a bit more serious note? Biggest danger is from trees. Pines have a small root ball, tip over relatively easily, especially if the soil is soaked. Trees with leaves (Hi, maples) are at risk. Old rotted trees that still have leaves are at risk (Again, maples, mostly).

Fire depts will be out all night dealing with power outages and stuff. Remember, boys and girls, candles don't start fires...candles ARE fires.
