West Roxbury man charged with Dorchester gunfire

Boston Police report arresting Kyriece Wrice-Roulhac, 19, on gun charges after the BPD Shotspotter system reported gunfire outside 33 Kingsdale St. around 2:45 a.m. on Saturday.

Police say Wrice-Roulhac did not go willingly when police arrived on scene and noticed an idling car with somebody bending over inside:

Due to the nature of the call, officers believed the individual may be reaching for a weapon or may be injured inside the car. Officers made attempts to contact the individual by knocking on the window but received no response. Fearing for their safety and the safety of a potential victim inside the car, the officers then attempted to open the door of the vehicle. The individual inside responded by pulling the door closed. Officers struggled momentarily to open the door but were finally able to wrestle the door open and remove the occupant from the vehicle. Upon doing so officers observed one spent shell casing and one live round on the floor of the vehicle. A K-9 was summoned to the scene, and as a result, a loaded black semi-automatic firearm with obliterated serial number was recovered from the vehicle.

He was charged with discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition (two counts), unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, police say,
