It was Fight Night at the mall tonight

NBC Boston reports bands of pugilistic, wamped-up teens pounded each other throughout South Shore Plaza in Braintree tonight, at least until the police arrived.

For years, that mall has been ground zero for neer do well teens.

what is that guess based on? Yes, the South Shore Plaza does attract some kids from other towns but since uber they tend to spread themselves around. Either you are showing your age or other prejudices.

A few moms on Milton neighbors commented that their teens were at the mall, one commented their teens left the food court during the fight.
Where do these teens from other towns Uber to, to hang out?

But do advance your agenda with something that happened last week.

Learn how to search social media. Plenty of photos online, which looks to confirm the prior posters comment.

Somebody is confusing "pictures on the internets" with "reality" again.

Ever occur to you that people who post and reproduce such pictures have an agenda?

Turtleboy sports, indeed.

And because they have an agenda, the photos must be fake. That someone has a reason to spread information means the information must actually be false itself.

They are from a single source.

They are from a week ago - not the same situation.

If I had a phone cam in 1988, I could have taken a video of pretty much the same exact fight in the same exact place with a different cast and crew.

Ever hear of publication bias? Probably not. That's where certain types of things that fit a narrative get posted and others do not.

Noting that the video was from a fight a week ago isn’t really helping your (and admittedly my) view that things are okay down the Plaza.

Turtleboy posts lots of mallfights and it isn't clear where they are.

Turtleboy sports, indeed.

Turtleboy does not post as many articles as this site but there are many times the same article/incident is posted on both sites.

A few weeks ago I posted kudos here that UHub scooped Turtleboy for the first time I can remember.

Okay. Um. Okay.

If you are going to engage in leghumping with my posting, please add some substance.

What would be cool is if you could just add one of those admonishments to the whole world where you claim superiority through unlikely possession of the matter, like:

Poster: Jews are not trying to take over the world
Swirly: I ADOPTED THREE BABY JEWS AND THEY TOOK OVER THE WHOLE COUNTY I LIVED IN BY THE TIME THEY WERE FOUR

Poster: Bassengi dogs are not as loyal as people would have you believe
Swirly: MY HUSBAND OWNED 11 BASENGI DOGS AND ALL 11 OF THEM BROUGHT HIM UNIQUE GIFTS ON EVERY MAJOR HOLIDAY

Poster: I don't see how eating a squirrel waffle taco is appropriating someones culture
Swirly: MY HUSBAND AND I WERE BROUGHT UP AS CUCUTENI-TRYPILLIAN AND THE FIRST THING THE KURGANS DID TO ETHNICALLY CLEANSE US WAS STEAL OUR TACO RECIPE

And you were raised as a bigoted idiot.

And you continued that tradition by teaching your kids to scream at Asians out the car window.

Nice.

But you might get in an accident while repeatedly rolling down the window to scream at Asians when driving through Quincy.

So freezing and exhausting!

Stick with the Price is Right marathon at the senior home.

About Turtleboy

Turtleboy Sports was founded by a small group of bloggers in December of 2013. It was initially supposed to be about sports but quickly transformed into much more. We found out that what the people have been yearning for is a media outlet that isn’t afraid to cover hard-hitting stories that the mainstream media shies away from

Posting clips of video and pictures of people that you want to make fun of is not news.

This wasn't even the fight in question. This was last week.

The fact that they were arrested for a brawl would be a good indication that it was a good guess.

up
Voting closed 0

how does that indicate whether these kids were from Braintree?

up
Voting closed 0

Yes, their "kids" go to Boston to rob, beat up people, do stupid stuff.

up
Voting closed 0

Wah? And Boston's subways and public spaces have been ground zero for ne'er do wells from Braintree.

Started going downhill sometime ago with the new element always there...thugs in their pants that don’t stay up. I don’t see how that is a fashion statement with you underwear hanging out. Sheez.

Care to expand on that phrase?

I don't go down the Plaza as much as I would want to for various reasons, but I still love the place. It feels like home to me. Plus, they have a Primark.

Would that be the "new element"?

My husband grew up on the South Shore. Fights like this have been standard fare since the mall was enclosed. They just didn't get swat team and press.

There is no "new element" save for the Mall and Braintree Police reaction to these incidents ... teenagers and stupidity are the same old elements.

If one is politely speaking in some kind of code.

But yeah, different faces but basically the same people.

The guy meant to say “it’s those kids that ride the bus over from Randolph.” It’s not exactly saying what he really wants to say, but a lot closer.

Do you mean Tennessine, or perhaps Oganesson ? Aren't these radioactive?

The Plaza is the same as it always has been but these days, there are more non white kids than from when I was a kid going there 30+ years ago. But make no mistake, the kids today are the same kids as yesterday. They come from the same surrounding communities and their families are of the same socio economic background as has always patronized the mall. I was there yesterday and it's no different than it's always been, save for the different complexions of the shoppers. And I didn't see a single "thug" in the bunch.

The Plaza is the same as it always has been

In the 80s us Fruits and Vegetables gang members would shop at the Braintree mall Chess King for zippered black-and-white clothing and if any rivals showed up, like the Bellevue St Dandys or the George Wright Wombats, then we would be like pow-pow-pow with our nines.

Just like a rival gang member shootout nowadays in South Shore Plaza

http://www.universalhub.com/2017/dorchester-man-gun-record-arrested-chao...

Just like it! Not.

One gang member - yeah okay. It happens.
Two rival gang members bumping into each other in the same department and shots fired - beyond coincidence. Gang infestation.

I ain't done yet.

There were so many gangs at Braintree mall in my day that it was like that movie the Warriors where we had to get from one side of the mall to the other where my moms was picking us up and we had to cross all these other gang territories in the mall.

(fill in humorous over-the-top-but-relevant gangs we had to overcome to get to my momses car.. like the Afterthoughts Hoodsies or the Dedham Bootstompers)

Yeah, it was just like that.

With all your theoretical gang names, I realize the confusion. We’re talking about the South Shore Plaza, whose mall rats come from Quincy, Weymouth, Milton, Dorchester, Holbrook, Randolph, and of course Braintree. Back in the day the West Roxbury, Roslindale, and Hyde Park mall rats went to the Chess King at the Dedham Mall.

Easy mistake, but from Cotuit all of Greater Boston probably blurs to you.

I did not mean to screw up your orderly segregated world. (But what insane teenager would bring a girlfriend/date to the Dedham Mall? South Shore Plaza was twice the class and had a multiplex)

I am living on Waquiot Bay now, BTW. Seasonal rental.

To represent and spew misinformation about "those people" on behalf of the Louise Day Hicks fanclub?
