Noticing lots more daily posts here about shootings in Boston. Are there data/stats available yet showing if there's an actual increase going on?

(No offense, but in a scientific sense blog posts / news stories are basically just anecdotes, and subject to any number of selection/confirmation/etc. biases; I'd like to see if anyone's gathering and publishing hard data on what's going on yet.)

Crime in general is down (except in Dorchester's C-11 where it's up 10% from last year), but shootings are up over last year - as are murders.
