It is on, like a snow-covered Donkey Kong

Channel 25 boxes

As the snow tally goes up, so will the tallies of the number of reporters and weather people the local TV stations will cram onto a single screen. Peter Wilson at Channel 25 provides this screen capture of an "11-box" today. But it's early. Last March, during a completely mundane storm, Channel 5 put 16 people on screen at once - and we've since heard Channel 7 at one point got up to 17.

One of those people in one of the boxes will meet a bad end on camera - possibly the camera guy will get taken out, too. Few will notice, and the box will just be quietly replaced.

Are you kidding? They would LOVE for something like that to happen. Thy live for the drama, the entertainment of this, be it real or otherwise. Any way they can get it. And viewers would eat it up. Who needs Netflix when we've got storm-o-tainment.
