Allston watering hole staying open

UPDATED, obviously.

Boston Eater reports a Facebook events page claiming the Bus Stop Pub is closing soon was a hoax and has been deleted and the place isn't going anywhere (unlike the Lincoln Bar and Grill).

Allston & Brighton are the same town. 1 Police department 1 people. Just ask anyone that grew up there. We are the world baby!

Because of the Lincoln, which is in Brighton, but not really all that far away from Western Avenue, and it seemed worth noting the closure of both places, especially since they're both "victims" (those liquor licenses won't go cheap) of the same basic development pressures along Guest Street.

Haven't been here in years, but figured Bus Stop & Silhouette would hang on for a while since they're really the only authentic Boston bars left in the neighborhood(s). Bummer nonetheless.
