Citizen complaint of the day: They got the pronoun wrong

Pro-Trump graffiti in Roslindale

A concerned citizen filed a 311 complaint today asking the city to remove the "ridiculous graffiti" at the Fallon Field playground in Roslindale today.

It must be tough being the only Trumpie on your block, so you feel like you have to act out somehow, because this is not the first time stuff like this has showed up at Fallon Field.

That's clearly just graffito as there is only one incidence.

I definitely don't condone this - but this elusive "tagger" is far from the only Trump supporter in Rozzie. Despite what some in the neighborhood (and on UHUB) may choose to believe - it's actually a very diverse neighborhood in regard to race, ethnicity, gender, AND political thought.

I grew up in this area and know dozens of people in the surrounding neighborhood who supported Trump in the 2016 election.

There is more than one Trump supporter in Roslindale. But it seems like only Trump supporters feel like defiling their neighborhood park.

It's hard to say exactly how many because, of course, Roslindale is split up among three wards. Should you want to get an idea of just what a minority Trump supporters are in the neighborhood, however, take a look at wards 18, 19 and 20 on this page.

I agreed it has no place in the park. Writing silly messages is a rediculous thing to do, sort of like when 25 grown adults met in Adams park banging pots and pans together to show collective outrage in the wake of trump's election (yes that actually happened for those not from Rozzie).

And I agree that Rozzie is heavily Democratic. Always has been, but my point was that there are many people in the neighborhood who are not far left leaning. Again, diversity is a good thing.

Also, how do we know that wasn't a die-hard Bernie supporter? Ha!

You don't have to lean very far Left to not like Trump. In fact, there are lots of Conservatives who don't like him.

How do we know it wasn't a Bernie supporter? We're not stupid enough to believe that.

She worked for three Republican governors.

She considers "never Trump" to be a form of exterior decor.

Trump got a pathetic 14% of the vote in Boston(the most educated cities always vote very heavily democrat). I bet a higher percentage of people in Boston believe Elvis is still alive.

Thank God the rest of the country was smart enough to vote the other way. The Dems are so shortsighted they couldn’t nominate a candidate (Bernie) that could beat Trump. The Democratic party rigged the primary for a less desirable candidate. Who is more educated?

Really, you mean the granite memorial to a died in the wool racist POS Dapper O'Neil isn't here in Roslindale by accident? I'm stunned.

The fact that pure trolling is legitimately considered to be a form of political thought is equal parts true, frightening, and surreal.

"Her" could be anyone female. Maybe it's just a random misogynist? Of course, if everyone assumes this means Hillary Clinton, then maybe it's time to investigate Hillary Clinton.

Bring it before a judge, put her in jail. And then? I don't understand the fixation with her. She is not that interesting. Sure I voted for her but she was so flawed and a really crummy candidate. But I was more concerned about that Supreme Court vacancy. The next 4 years didn't matter so much compared to an unfirable lifetime appointment of a judge that could be there for 30 years and overturn Roe v Wade or continue down the path of giving citizenship to corporations.

I care not for Hillary, put her in jail if you must. It was not good to pick a candidate that has had the opposition character assassinate her for the last 25 years. Not that she didn't have her own valid problems, but 25 years of that did not help. She will not run again and I wish she would stay out of politics as she been toxic to anything she gets involved in.

But through all that I would vote for her again in a heartbeat. At least I feel I can trust her with the nuclear codes and to actually know foreign policy.

If something happens to Trump, we will get Pence. The guy might be evil, but he is predictable evil and I know he would conduct himself in the manner befitting public office.

My first assumption would be that someone's creating safe places on playgrounds for females, which is pretty offensive in its own right.

There's no reason for that at Fallon Field, just like the tag I saw at the start of the walkway from Cummins Highway to the Charles Sumner School in December of 2016 enjoining people to have conjugal relations with the then President-elect.

It's a defacement of public property. The political message matters not.

Trumpisms have become the modern swastika. Teens and douchebags find it funny/rebellious to tag this garbage. It’s mindless graffiti.

"Trumpisms are the modern swastika"?

You are equating silly political graffiti about a failed candidate with a symbol for a horrible regime responsible for the murder of millions of innocent people.

Just wow, you are lost.

If someone really wants to "Lock Cher Up!"

They missed an important letter..

If they could turn back time... if they could find a way..

Locking Cher up would only release even more astonishing chic on the public.

The industrious little Trumpie scribbled the phrase on pretty much every single pole in the park.

Idk Adam, Hillary hater doesn’t automatically equal Trump supporter. Whatever the case may be, we can all agree he/she needs a new GD hobby.

Why not just clean it up yourself?
A bit of rubbing alcohol or odorless paint thinner and some rag or scrubbie pad.

I mean, it's a city park, and the city has crews to handle graffiti, so why not go that route?

I walk my dog here in the evenings and have seen this guy's stupid tags all over the place there. Usually with more profanity. Love that he's decided to leave the word bitch out when he vandalizes a children's playground with his hate derp.
