Taking 'Donuts' out of their name already paying off for Dunkin'

Ice for sale

Freed from the constraints of "donuts," the chain can now offer all sorts of things - like bags of ice. Robert Orthman spotted the sign offering ice this evening outside the still Dunkin' Donuts on Washington Street (the one near Roslindale Square, not the other one).

But they weren't selling ice before they announced the change to just Dunkin'.

I've purchased ice at plenty of DD's. Not all, but those close to the beach, or on the Cape. I assume it's up to each individual franchise owner.

My son worked for one dunks that sold ice, another that didn't (but would tell you to go to the other one). 2015 through 2017. It is a great idea actually - you can get coffee and get the ice for the cooler all on the drive through.

I've seen this at other Dunks for quite some time, nothing new.

So I can't be disappointed when it doesn't taste like anything, the way I have with everything else I've bought from them

That's my emergency coffee these days. Huge value compared to other places - $3.50 for a "medium" (aka 20 ounce).

They could branch out now - A Dunks Packie?:
"Dunkin Drunkin?"
"Dunks Drunks"

A Halloween store?
"Dunkin Punkin?"

An antique store?
"Dunkin Junkin"

A record label?
"Dunks Crunks"

I got a million of em!
