Revere man charged with sexual attack on teenager on the Orange Line at Downtown Crossing

A Revere man who spent part of an Orange Line ride staring at a girl under 14 ground himself into her as she and her mother got off the train at Downtown Crossing around 10:50 a.m. yesterday, Transit Police report.

Police report another passenger, who had seen Michael Brooks, 44, staring at the girl, saw the attack and managed to keep Brooks at bay on the platform until officers could arrive

Brooks was charged with indecent assault and battery, police say.

According to the Boston Globe, "Brooks was arraigned Thursday in Boston Municipal Court on charges of indecent assault and battery on a person under 14 and assault and battery on a developmentally disabled person and held on $2,500 bail, according to Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley’s office. A not-guilty plea was entered on Brooks’s behalf."
