Roxbury shooting suspect sent to Bridgewater for evaluation after police say they found an arsenal in his apartment

All of the seized guns

Ismail Abdurrashid-McCullum, 50, was ordered sent to Bridgewater State Hospital for 20 days for observation at his arraignment today on charges he shot a man on Shawmut Avenue early yesterday with what police now say was only one of several weapons he kept at his apartment and in his car.

Abdurashid-McCallum was originally arrested on charges of assault with intent to murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.

But Suffolk County prosecutors added additional charges - ten counts of improper storage of a firearm, nine counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, two counts of unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device, and one count of unlawful possession of a sawed-off shotgun - after police obtained search warrants for his 95 Munroe St. apartment and car that they say turned up "six revolvers, two semi-automatic pistols, a sawed-off shotgun, a bolt action rifle, a silencer, shotgun ammunition, rifle ammunition, pistol ammunition, as well as an empty pistol holster" in his apartment and an additional pistol, holster and rifle ammunition in his car.

Innocent, etc.

See how easy it is to steal guns? How the hell do you control that? Seriously?

We already have some of the toughest gun laws in the country. When scumbags like this choose to amass an arsenal of ILLEGAL firearms, they should go away for a very, VERY long time.

These are the people who are doing the crimes, these are the people that are moving illegal guns on our city streets and shooting others, not the law-abiding citizens who respect the laws.

This guy should never see the streets of Boston again.

Well he should face federal charges for the sawn off shotgun and silencer. No NFA tax stamps = going to the Fed pen for 10 years or more. But will he be referred for prosecution?

Looks like a stolen Colt Python too in that photo lineup. That's grand theft ($3,000+ in value) right there without even getting into the firearms charges.

And the value of a firearm never matters. It is always a felony to steal one regardless of cost.

If you have this many guns, you get thrown in the nuthouse until we can figure out what is going on. (Sorry, due process …)

Like, is it one gun, two guns, three guns, arsenal? Is the definition different in, say, rural NH? Is there a legal definition?

Not sure but 10 firearms is a large amount (especially when they are all illegal).

And I am a gun owner.

You need to "transfer" them (sell or give). This is just possession.
