Police hope somebody can shed light on how a large menorah at a Brookline temple wound up in West Roxbury

Brookline Police report their Boston counterparts found a large menorah at Church and Weld streets in West Roxbury this morning that had been stolen from Temple Emeth at the Putterham rotary in South Brookline, about a mile away. The case is under investigation.

WBZ reports the menorah, normally mounted outside the temple's main entrance, weighs 300 pounds.

Some Idiots had to much to drink, walked past it, decided to steal it, and about 3/4 of a mile later realized it was to heavy and what the fuck were they going to do with it anyway and set it down.

This is my theory.

This is too heavy to carry very far, let alone a mile.

They would only be able to carry it 1/8 of a mile.

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Brookline, and tell them, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my menorah go, that it may serve me to navigate that damned rotary.

the TLF did not have anything to do with it?

If turkeys have figured out how to move a 300 pound menorah, then we've got some serious trouble ahead.

That said, our combined brawn and combat engineering capabilities are not to be scoffed at.

You should pay less attention to your GPS, and more to the signs: https://goo.gl/maps/nLNK5AKMV2H2

To the signs scattered about the parkways of Brookline that warn of impending "traffic circles," for those were surely painted by a New York concern that submitted the lowest bid.

But there are 3 signs like this at Putterham, so who's to say?

In and around Brookline, menorahs come out of the sky, and they stand there.

It really should be a roundabout!

Putterham Roundabout sounds more together than Putterham Rotary or Circle.

There's a strip mall at the rotary, and it used to have a store called the Roundabout.

In my best Sean Connery voice...

They put a menorah on Church St... We put a cross on Synagogue Lane
