Atlanta man with suspended Mass. driver's license charged with pointing gun at another car in Beacon Hill road rager, police say

Boston Police report arresting a man they say pointed a gun at another car around 7 p.m. yesterday at Beacon and Park streets.

Officers were informed that the suspect had displayed a firearm in a threatening manner during an apparent road rage incident. The officers were on directed patrol in the area of Downtown Crossing when they observed and stopped the suspect vehicle in the area of 131 Tremont Street. Officers removed the suspect and recovered a loaded .40 caliber Ruger SR-40 handgun from underneath the driver’s seat. The suspect was placed in custody without incident after being positively identified by two victims who stated that the suspect had pointed the firearm at them while they were driving on Beacon Street.

Daniel Allder, 33, who now lives in Atlanta, had valid Georgia and Massachusetts gun licenses, but since it's illegal here to point them at people, he was charged with two counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon, police say. He was also charged with operating after suspension because he still had a Massachusetts driver's license, only it had been suspended, police say.

Innocent, etc.
