Green Line platforms don't scale when trolleys up and derail

Kenmore Square platform on the Green Line

Jesse the roving UHub photographer didn't have much room to rove at Kenmore on the Green Line around 2 p.m., due to continuing problems caused by the trolley that derailed just outside the tunnel this morning.

Funny how you never see an ambassador, an inspector or a Transit cop when these daily disasters occur.

I can say for sure that there was at least one transit cop explaining what was going on (when I got on at Harvard St.) and another shepherding commuters around the tolls (when I got to Kenmore).
Then again, I lived along the B branch track when snow removal efforts went as far as putting up a sign that said "track closed", so my bar for train service is pretty low.

You must mean that winter where other transit agencies around the world agreed, that no matter where in the world it had occurred, 3 blizzards in a row would have crippled just about any agency? You mean that winter? Oh ya, we had to put a sign up for that one!

When the commuter rail fails the Baker administration scolds keolis for their poor performance. But the frequent derailings, delays and other mishaps on the rest of the mbta are meet with silence by the Baker team, since they are the ones in charge. Baker promised more of the same management style as governor after he won. We are in trouble.

I remember just after Baker taking office that he forced out the head of the MBTA and set up an oversight board to tackle the various shortcomings of the T. Now, the agency is working to deal with the underlying reasons for incidents like this (although the Type 8 trolleys have a history of derailing on the B line.

You must be new to the area. Welcome.

One day, we will have a world class public transit system.

as the T has a nasty habit of running single cars on Sundays, and with longer headways the cars are usually sardine cans to begin with.
