Pretty impressive. Fortunately, the NPD report there were no serious injuries (except to the pole and transformer).

Totally messed up the evening rush hour too.

Traffic was at a standstill on route 9, worst that I’ve seen it.

~5:40 it was gridlocked - luckily bailed out and headed towards Needham at the last “good” turn off.

It would have been that much worse if everyone had been heading into Boston for work instead of heading home.

When I’m heading out to Natick at 6:30 in the evening, there are is traffic eastbound all congested from the first light after 128 sometimes back to 128. I’ll never understand it, but I’m always seeing it (which is weekly usually.)

It's still pretty bad, traffic-wise, as of 7:30pm or so. Driving in it was backed up all the way to 95, and Rt. 9 EB was closed off for about a mile or so.

I'd love to stop driving on Route 9. But the bus service (which evolved from the trolley service) was cut 20 years ago. A few bus shelters and scary crosswalks remain.

It couldn't compete with the Commuter Rail. And it was getting increasingly difficult to cross the road to get to or from the bus stop.

Newton has a bunch of poles which are leaning into the street.

I am sure they are so pleased with themselves after being in such a hurry to get nowhere particular....everyone is so important in their own minds....

Is that giant ice puddle the cause of the accident? Or is it from firefighters responding to the accident?

i love how everyone laughs when you mention 2 hands on wheel...

until youve been driving alot and you have avoided serious accidents you will never value it..

plus it helps you zip through town faster ironically..

but since we in general are lazy and in general dont eat right..we dont have the energy to keep the hands up there ...obviously poor seat positioning is also a contributing factor because brain will first the urge to keep them up there on subconscious level..
