Police charge survivor of Egleston Square shootout with murder

Boston Police report charging Victor Rodriguez, 28, with murder following a gun battle that left Carl Reynolds, 28, dead Friday afternoon.

Police say Rodriguez, of South Boston, was charged with murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, subsequent offense, and unlawful possession of ammunition. Police say Rodriguez and Reynolds, of Roxbury, fired at each other on Washington Street, across from Beethovan Street, shortly after 3:30 p.m.

Both men were taken to local hospitals. Reynolds was pronounced dead not long after; Rodriguez remains in the hospital, under police guard.

According to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office, Rodriguez will be arraigned Tuesday, although the question remains whether he will be brought to West Roxbury Municipal Court or arraigned in his hospital bed.

Innocent, etc.

Safe to say both of these guns are illegal. Sad to see a loss of life but glad to have this dirt bag, and the two guns off the street. Also glad no innocent children at the Beethoven were harmed.

These scumbags have no respect for laws or life. Good riddance.
