It's lights out in West Roxbury

Downed light pole at Hynes Field in West Roxbury

Daniel Guzman reports he was walking through Hynes Field in West Roxbury around 11:30 a.m., when this light pole came crashing down in a gust of wind. "Scared the crap out of me," he says.

Meanwhile, the folks at the Boston City Archives, on Rivermoor Street near Millennium Park, report they're in the dark:

Anyone else without power in West Roxbury? We're cataloging by candlelight

Edubz reports the traffic lights are out along VFW Parkway.

Hearing about multiple rollovers on the Tobin including at least one tractor trailer. I'm not sure if inbound or outbound. Anyone heading home that way might want to listen to traffic reports.

I don't know about rollover part, but some sort of major crash near the old toll plaza position on the upper level, yes.
Full closure SB for a while, sounds like they have one lane open now.

Tobin Bridge is currently closed inbound due to an accident at the Everett Ave onramp.

Outbound is fine.

Some people are so lucky. The rule is that you get to keep any lamppost that falls near you.

We are in the "missing" category judging from the postings on NextDoor and our community's facebook pages. People on one dead end street are coraling them all as they arrive and will sort them out later.

I live in an apartment with a dumpster, so hopefully it won't blow away but we'll see.

You see a fallen light pole.

I see an awesome space saver for the next snowstorm!
