Resident rescued by ladder from Roslindale fire

After the fire at 6 Aldrich St. in Roslindale

The Boston Fire Department reports a fire at 6 Aldrich St., off Belgrade Avenue, in Roslindale displaced five people, three dogs and three cats this afternoon.

After firefighters arrived around 1:50 p.m. they rescued one resident from the third floor via a ladder. None of the residents or pets were injured, the department says.

The cause of the fire, which started on the first floor and which caused an estimated $50,000 in damage, is under investigation, the department reports.

the FD always says they're going to investigate the cause of the fire, do they generally publish these results anywhere? I've seen it reported when it's something absolutely absurd (that welding equipment in back bay) but for just, day to day fires? as somebody scared stiff of fires :( I would find it enlightening as a "things to watch out for" resource
