If it doesn't bother the members of this historic organization, why does it bother you so much? You don't think the members are smart enough to be offended on their own? They need you to tell them what's offensive?

Well, when it was founded, way back in 1909 I think, the word "colored" was one of the more polite forms of address for African Americans at that time. And, if I may make the assumption, there are some very good reasons why the organization wishes to retain the word "colored" in their organization's name.

But, hey, why don't contact the organization's chairperson and suggest that item for their agenda and let us know what he or she says?
