Two men wanted for gang-related murder in Minneapolis pulled out of big rig in South Boston

Boston Police report arresting two men wanted in connection with a February murder in Minneapolis.

According to police, they got a tip around 11 a.m. yesterday that Farhan Ibrahim, 20, of Minneapolis, would be in a truck with a specific license plate in the South Boston area - which officers began patroling along with US marshals. Around 12:25 p.m., police say, officers found the truck at Cypher Street and West Service Road, stopped it and pulled out the driver and two passengers.

The driver, determined not to be wanted, was let go. But Ibrahim, wanted for murder, and Ahmed Rashed Ahmed, 26, of Boston, wanted for second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury were arrested to face an extradition hearing in South Boston Municipal Court, police say.

Police did not detail the murder, but according to a report in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Minneapolis Police issued warrants for the two for a February shooting that left a man paralyzed, as part of what police described as a war between a gang called the Somali Outlaws and several other local gangs.

Innocent, etc.

What the hell would two guys with Arabic names be doing in South Boston? It's good that they were pulled out of the big rig down there by police if, indeed they were wanted for a gangland murder, though.

What difference do their last names make? There's no wall around South Boston.

but there was a time when non-whites, whoever they were, stood an excellent chance of getting beat up, or possibly killed, if South Boston's history is any indication.

That time was a long time ago

people with Arabic names, for a long, long time, were not welcome in South Boston. There was a time when people who were of Arabic background who ventured into South Boston would be harassed, beat up, or possibly even worse. Don't start accusing me of racism. Thanks.

You should visit South Boston, both the traditional area and the waterfront area. It’s changed a lot in the 30 years since you were last there.

Born and raised in South Boston, over 50 years, and in the 60's through the 80's we had Syrian, Lebanese and a few Arab families. Nobody gave them shit unlike the bullshit you are spewing.

They were with a truck driver acquaintance who was picking up or delivering something, most likely a container.

Why would any other race be in Boston?

Could you please explain your question?

Why are you in Boston?

If my question sounded racist, I apologize.

From what I'm aware of, however, given South Boston's history, and the fact that there are still elements that are hostile towards non-whites, or people with Arabic-sounding names or whatever, people who looked different and/or who had such last names, have stood a chance of being beat up or killed.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
